Fisher Price Medical Kit for $9!

So funny because my daughter just picked this up at the consignment sale yesterday and said she just had to have it. Luckily, I was able to distract her with another item since we already have like 5 medical kits.

But, if you don't have one, I would certainly recommend it for any kid.  Both my 3 and 2 year old love it and play with at least once a week.

Spent $55 for $110 worth of groceries for the week!

My hubby had a nice morning price matching and couponing at WalMart yesterday.  We were able to do quite nicely, I think.    Right at 50% savings.  Check out my previous post on the grocery deals of the week if you need the links to the coupons.  We price matched pretty much everything you see here.  We did use $1/1 Birds Eye recipe starters coupons (7 of them) to score the Birds Eye veggies for free or up to 17 cents each.  We bought Vitamin Water for 67 cents price matched to HyVee, bought avocados for 29 cents price matched to Aldis, and the Velveeta Shells and Cheese for $1.69 price matched to Hen House.  We had a good time and my hubby was a huge help.  A change from the "help" of my 3 and 2 year old, that's for sure! 

Another pumpkin patch groupon!

So we did this pumpkin patch last year.  I was a bit nervous at the beginning because it really is out in the middle of NOWHERE!  Do you remember this one, Mom?  We were the first ones there and it really is just some family's farm.  It is pretty low key, but if you are looking for something to do for a weekend, it is a fun time for the kids.  They had bouncy houses and a cute small pumpkin patch.  The petting zoo was a joke, if I remember.  Like 2 animals.  But, the family was really nice and the hayride is pretty long and worth it for sure.

My shopping trip at Target yesterday! Spent $39 for $131 retail!

So I ended up heading to Target to use up some coupons and had a great time.  I spent $54, and got back $15 in gift cards, so I really spent $39 for $131 retail!  I was excited about this and was able to go by myself and really take my time.

My big deal was the games.  Target is doing a Hasbro game night promotion right now.  You buy a board game and get cookie dough for free.  Doesn't sound too exciting, I know, but add in some coupons and it becomes a sweet deal. 

Here is the breakdown of the board game deal:
Bought Monopoly Junior ($11) and Jenga Boom ($12.) = $21
Bought 2 Nestle Chocolate Chip cookie dough ($9)
Used 2 $3/1 coupons for each game from coupons.com 
  - $6
Used 2 20%/1 coupons from coupons.target.com
  -$2.20-$2.40
Used 2 Target cartwheel coupons from Target Cartwheel off Facebook
  -5% more 
Used $1.50/2 coupon for the cookie dough from coupons.com
  -$1.50 
 -$6 for free cookie dough 
  =  11.90 for 2 board games and 2 cookie doughs (retail was around $37, I think.)

Side note:  Both games are pretty nice.  We played them last night with our 3 and 2 year old.  They both really liked Jenga Boom and the 3 year old also liked Monopoly Junior.  

Other good deals:
Centrum Burst kids vitamins $7.99 each.  When you buy 2, you get a $5 gift card.  Used $3/1 coupons from the newspaper plus $2/1 coupons from coupons.target.com to get these for under a $1 each after gift card.

Also, Pantene is doing a buy 3, get a $10 gift card deal.  There was an awesome  buy one, get one free coupon for Pantene in the paper a couple of weeks ago.  After the BOGO coupon and a $1/1 coupon from coupons.com, I paid under $9 and got back a $10 gift card.

Thursday is National Talk Like a Pirate Day.  Why do we care?

Krispy Kreme will give you a free donut if you go in and talk like a pirate.  But, wait!  If you dress up like a pirate, they will give you a free dozen donuts!  Sweet!

Here We Grow Again consignment sale starting soon!

My favorite consignment sale;  the Here We Grow Again sale begins next week!  It starts next Tuesday, September 24th at 9 a.m. and I will be there.  It is crazy busy the first morning and I will NOT be taking kids to this, although, there will be tons of mommies with screaming kids there, for sure.

So I did the KC Pumpkin Patch groupon and now pops up the KC Fear Farm groupon.  Might have to do this one too.  Love me a good corn maze with scary people popping up behind every corner!
