Target trip: Spent $50, retail was $121!

So I have been on vacation for awhile, and this was my first planned shopping trip back.  I was very excited to see the $10/$40 grocery purchase coupon and planned my whole trip around it.  I picked up 3 Freschetta pizzas, a Lipton iced tea, 4 Market Pantry pastas, 4 Market Pantry sauces, 2 Oscar Meyer lunch meats, and 3 Simply Ades which all were part of the grocery deal.  I spent $42 on this grocery deal, and after coupons, I paid right around $20 for these items.  I also took advantage of the sale on chicken nuggets.  All Tyson nuggets are $3 this week, normally $4.99.  We bought 4 which will hopefully last us through the month and paid $12 instead of $20 with no coupons.  Also, we bought 10 packs of up and up crayons.

Paid $40 for $116 retail at Hen House!

Hen House was rocking with the deals this week!  I paid $40 for $116 retail!  If you don't do any other grocery shopping this week, you have to hit Hen House!  The Texas Toast is $1.50 this week.  Use the 50 cents/2 coupons.com which will double to a $1 to get these for 50 cents each!  These retail for $3, so we stocked up and bought 6.  The Suddenly Salads were $1 and I used the 50 cents/1 coupons.com and the 50 cents/2 (which both double to $1 off) which makes these 50 cents each!  Also, the canned veggies are 33 cents, so I bought 12 of them.  I stumbled upon an amazing Kraft sale which is a buy one, get one free off several Kraft products.  The deal of the week was the shredded cheese.  They are $2 each, buy one get one free, so these are $1 each!  Stock up price!  I will be going back to get more since they do not expire until November and we use a TON of shredded cheese.  Also the Lunchables were $2.50, buy one, get one free.  So I picked up 8 of these for $1.25 each.  They also have Kraft singles and Oscar Meyer deli meat under the buy one, get one free special as well.

Chick Fil A Cow Appreciation Day!

We headed to Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A today!  It was a ton of fun!  Tons of people in there and most were dressed up.  I got some good ideas for next year.  Even the Chick Fil A cow was on scene for the festivities.  Was lots of fun and the kids got free kids meals.  Mom would have gotten a free meal too if it had not been so chaotic this morning making our masks.  Oh well!

Just a quick trip to Target to score some last minute deals:  Paid $11 and got back a $5 gift card for next time! Retail was $45! 

I must share my check out story.  This was the most particular check out lady I have come across in awhile.  She thoroughly read each coupon, pulled each item out of the bag and matched the coupon to each.  Kinda made me feel a bit like I was doing something wrong.  I'm sure she was just doing her job, but sheesh!  

The Vidal Sassoon deal is pretty sweet.  The bottles are $3.99 apiece.  When you buy 4, you get a $5 gift card.  There are $2/1 coupons in the P&G from last week and there is a $2/1 Target mobile coupon for $2/1 when you text SAVVY (which I TOTALLY forgot to use, I just realized this as I am typing!)  That gives you a total of $10 off.  After a retail of $16, you pay $6 and get a $5 gift card.  So you pay $.25 each for HUGE bottles of shampoo.  Vidal Sassoon is a step up, right from Pantene, right?  :)

There was a $1/1 Reynolds baking cups in the paper a couple weeks ago.  These are $1.07 each, so I paid $.07 each.

After our Target trip, we headed to Chick Fil A for Cow Appreciation Day - did you go?  You still can go today

My CVS trip: Paid $5.12 plus tax for $111.39 retail!

So I have been missing my CVS fix, so I took my youngest and we headed out.  We had $17 ECBs to burn and we had fun.  By the way, I don't want to jinx it, but I was SOOO proud of my son.  He walked next to the cart throughout all of CVS, he wanted to help scan items, he put things in the cart.  He sat quietly on top of the car cart all throughout checkout (yes, I said on top.  Mother of the year.)

Anyways, I paid $5.12 plus tax for all of this!  Plus I got back $5 ECBs for next time, so I guess I technicially paid $.12!  

The Pantene deal is AMAZING!  Buy $30 worth of Pantene, get $10 ECBs.  There is a B1G1 Free coupon in last week's P&G.  I bought 8 Pantene plus 2 Dawn to get to $30, I used 4 B1G1 coupons (which deducted the maximum of $4.99 each, which resulted in just under $20 of free product.)  So my total was $10 for 8 bottles of Pantene, and after rolling my ECBs, I paid under $4 total.  

The coupon machine is giving you a $2/1 Softsoap coupon, which is on sale this week for $2.99, so you get Softsoap for $.99, which is my rock bottom price.

Great deal on patio chairs at Target!

So, we were at Tar8get the other day, and I found a deal that hopefully you can find at your store.  We found patio chairs for as low as $8.70 apiece!  Granted, they were orange/red or neon green, but the other colors were marked down as well.  We found the khaki chairs and blue chairs for as low as $14.  Some are still stuck at $27, but I am guessing they will be marked down as well.  Worth checking out.

Also, if you are on the lookout for any outdoor furniture, check out the lawn and garden section at your Target.  Most of the outdoor umbrellas were marked down 50%, some as low as $37!
